Nuance has also been developing C# based APIs for Microsoft’s Azure cloud.
Nuances API is also used by Facebook’s own Messenger app.
The app is expected to launch sometime in 2017.
Facebook will be making its own Messenger SDK.
Facebook Messenger will be the first application that Facebook will allow developers to use in the company’s messaging platform.
Facebook has long been trying to create a platform for developers to build apps for Messenger, a messaging platform for mobile and desktop that was originally unveiled in May 2016.
The company previously created a Messenger app to help developers build their own messaging apps.
The original Messenger app was created by Zuckerberg himself.
Facebook previously told TechCrunch in March that Messenger would be the “first open-source project for Facebook” and that the company would eventually open up its platform to other developers.
The announcement comes just weeks after Facebook announced that it was planning to create an official developer platform called “The Open Messaging Platform.”
